ISE Intelligent Motor Controls Work Seamlessly With Global Caché Connectivity Products

Indianapolis, IN and Jacksonville, OR, USA — September 8, 2011 — (CEDIA Booth #3962) the leading independent provider of WiFi and IP-enabling products for automation and control, and Electronic Solutions (ESI), a Hunter Douglas Company, and the leading manufacturer of intelligent controls for motorized products, announced today they have formed a strategic alliance.  The agreement ensures product compatibility between the two companies and provides a platform for the companies to work together in product development and marketing activities.

Global Caché’s award-winning iTach family of connectivity products physically connects any IR, serial, and relay device to a WiFi or wired TCP/IP network so that the device can be monitored, accessed and controlled.  iTach devices include onboard IR learning, IR emitters, and an IR blaster, Power over Ethernet options, and support multiple simultaneous users. The award-winning GC-100 Network Adapters connect IR, serial, and relay devices to a TCP/IP network. Global Caché products support sensor input and are engineered to integrate easily in any control and automation environment.

ESI’s array of versatile products are used in applications worldwide and range in size from the simple control of a single motor to fully integrated systems with thousands of motors. ESI motor controls provide simple and scalable integration into automation systems and have the flexibility to control any motorized product, AC or DC. Applications of ESI motor controls include: window coverings (interior and exterior), projection screens, media concealment systems, rolling shutters, motorized windows, and retractable awnings

“We’re delighted to partner up with Electronic Solutions,” said Robin Ford, VP of Business Development. “We’re proud to work with a company of their caliber, and anticipate collaborating with ESI as we move forward. The partnership is reassurance to our channel and theirs, that our respective products work seamlessly together and is further testament to the power of open systems and standards.”

John MacKenzie of ESI said, “We’re excited about our new collaboration with Global Caché. Their products allow our partners to very simply and easily add WiFi and wired TCP/IP connectivity to any of our RS232, IR, and contact closure products.
