Global Caché and SharksEye Systems Form Alliance
Partnership to Expand SharksEye Audio Video Management Solutions into Facilities Management

Jacksonville, OR - February 10, 2005 - Global Caché, the award winning provider of products that enable technology in homes and businesses, and SharksEye Systems, the leader in IP network-enabled products for digital surveillance and remote monitoring, announced today they have signed an agreement allowing the two companies to work closely together to deliver products that address the fast-growing network-based security and control market.

Global Caché’s GC-100 Network Adapter is designed to IP enable existing hardware, bringing Ethernet connectivity to equipment that otherwise could not be accessed over a network. The first of its kind, the GC-100 is an essential enabling piece, connecting networks to infrared (IR), serial (RS232), and digital I/O relay devices so they can be accessed and managed simply and inexpensively by network-based software. Additionally, Global Caché offers IR learning devices, sensors and other network connectivity products.

SharksEye SharkViewTM video management software is deployed in a wide variety of applications to maximize the benefits of audio/video equipment from top network camera/server manufacturers including Axis Communications, JVC, Canon, and Sony. It is the premier solution for managing high quality digital video from IP network cameras and video servers. IP network video is the next step in the transition from analog CCTV systems to digital video solutions. This next-generation software provides the powerful functionality in the full line of SharksEye Network Video Recorders used for security, surveillance, and remote monitoring.

The Global Caché units allow SharksEye to use commercial IR (infrared) based lighting controllers to implement an integrated network system without requiring any plant rewiring. The SharksEye Enterprise Management Console (EMC) can therefore include lighting controls for each camera. ”
