Global Caché Unveils Home Network Adapter
at CEDIA EXPO

Modular Mix-and-Match Home Network Adapter GC-100 connects common household devices and appliances to an Ethernet network

San Jose, CA and Minneapolis, MN USA - September 25, 2002 - (CEDIA EXPO 2002 Premise Systems, a Lantronix Company Booth 605A) Global Caché today announced at CEDIA EXPO 2002 the company's versatile new Home Network Adapter GC-100, designed to IP-enable common household devices and appliances, connecting them to an Ethernet network. Utilizing an exclusive modular mix-and-match hardware design the Home Network Adapter can be configured for each individual installation by adding any required module to the main GC-100 enclosure. The GC-100 connects Ethernet networks to IR devices, serial devices, and relay switches. Digital I/O is also available.

The Global Caché GC-100 addresses the growing number of homes with high-bandwidth Internet and networking capability and enables the use of PC-based software to quickly and simply control and automate diverse devices throughout the home, such as TVs, stereos, and security systems. The Global Caché GC-100 replaces the current requirement for installers to piggyback dissimilar devices from various vendors with one easy-to-use and cost effective product that will connect IR, serial, and relay devices to a home network.
