Home Control Assistant Now Supports IR, and Relay Functions of GC-100 Network Adapter

Jacksonville, OR – September 4 , 2008 - (CEDIA Expo 2008 Booth #389) Global Caché, a leading provider of connectivity products announced today they have begun shipping the GC-BL2 IR Blaster. The GC-BL2 IR Blaster is designed to be used with Global Caché GC-100 Network Adapters to transmit IR signals across a room up to 40 feet. The unique shape of the GC-BL2 allows for flexible and easy orientation and adjustment of the device for control of A/V (audio visual) components or any IR driven equipment. No power supply or connecting block is required for operation. GC-BL2 features include:

• IR modulation frequency of 30 – 500 kHz
• Transmits up to 40 feet
• No power supply or connecting block required
• 3.5 mm stereo plug and 6 foot cable (for easy installation and connection to the GC-100 Network Adapter)

Global Caché’s GC-100 Network Adapter physically connects diverse devices throughout a home and business to a network so they can be controlled, automated, and maintained by network-based software.
